CREATIVITY
EXPERTISE
Writing the stories we inherit—and the ones we choose.
ABOUT
Lauren Kalinowski writes about inherited trauma, family bonds, and the patterns connecting generations. An MFA student at the University of King's College, she is completing family memoir The Matriarchs and poetry collection Maiden to Mother. Her work appears in Queens Quarterly, Existere, and Blank Spaces. She lives in Edmonton, Alberta.
What I do
I write creative nonfiction and poetry exploring intergenerational trauma and women's lives. I also ghostwrite memoirs, contribute arts and culture journalism to publications across Alberta, co-edit Edmonton Scene magazine, and facilitate writing workshops. You’ll find me at local open mics verbally editing my poems.
